HRA Partners with World Bank Group & U.S. Chamber of Commerce to Co-host the Sixth Annual Business Investment Expo in Washington, DC, June 24-26, 2015

lundi 9 février 2015 par Bill

WASHINGTON, DC - February 9, 2015 - For its 6th annual Business Investment Expo & Conference, HRA has partnered with the World Bank Group and U.S. Chamber of Commerce to promote competitiveness in the Caribbean market. Building on the first ever Caribbean Energy Security Summit Vice President Biden hosted in January, the forum will focus on energy security, technology, and engaging small medium enterprises in expanding to the Caribbean.

Over 3,000 participants from 12 countries have attended the HRA Expo since its launch in 2010. Over the last six years, the conference has emerged as the premier and the largest platform for the private sector, investors, entrepreneurs, start-ups, diaspora groups, government officials, and NGOs to collaborate, form partnerships, share best practices, and discuss ideas to advance sustainable development in the Caribbean.

HRA’s signature Investor’s Tank - which is inspired by the hit TV show "Shark Tank" - is among this year’s many workshops, seminars, and panels. To date, 16 businesses have pitched in the tank with three receiving up to $500,000 in financial support.

In addition to the World Bank Group as a co-host, principal partners include the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, USAID, Pan American Development Foundation, along with the U.S. Commerce Department’s Minority Business Development Agency, Haiti’s Center for Investment, Embassy of Haiti, AmCham Haiti, and The Raben Group.
This event is open to the media and the public. For more information or to register, please go to www.hraexpo.org
